Tualatin Hills Nature Park is located just outside of Portland, near the Nike Headquarters. It’s amazing this gorgeous place is in the middle of the city. You’d never know it was there. They have a fabulous Information Center that has great things to read and learn about.
Location: Heading from Portland or Salem, find your way to HWY 217. Take Exit 2A towards Canyon Road. Turn right onto Hocken Ave and after a mile or so, turn left onto OR-8West. Then turn right onto SW Milliken Way. The Nature park will be on the right side of the road.
Difficulty: 1/5. The trails were either made into a boardwalk or the paths were nicely groomed.
Kid Friendly: Yes, kids and pets (leashed) are welcome here. It’s a great place to bring them to explore, see animals and enjoy the fresh air.
Stroller / ADA Accessible: Yes. The paths are groomed, wide and wheelchair accessible. This is a great place for everyone.
Description: Tualatin Hills Nature Park is a great place to go for a stroll, jog, run, walk, whatever you’d like, no bikes allowed. With ponds and ducks to enjoy, lots of old growth, and birds to see, you won’t be bored here. It’s great for kids and elderly alike, and everyone in between.
