This is a fabulous little hike with a beautiful waterfall. Perfect for a hot day, to play in the streams or the pool at the bottom of the waterfall.
Location: Bridal Veil Falls is located along the I-84 heading east out of Portland, OR. Take exit 28 and take the Historic Columbia River Hwy to the parking lot of Bridal Veil Falls. You’ll see a large sign!!
Difficulty: This was a relatively easy hike with a few stairs, and a steep climb in a small part of the trail. I’d give this hike a 3/5.
Kid Friendly: Absolutely – however, there are parts of the trail that the handrails aren’t really good, so hold on to your kids but other than that, my kids loved playing in the streams, climbing the rocks and had a great time throwing rocks in the river.
Stroller/ADA Accessible: Due to having about 20 stairs to climb, I would say this isn’t a recommended hike for that.
Description: When heading out of the parking lot, follow the signs for Bridal Veil Falls because there is another trail at that point. You’ll be on a paved path for a little bit but it will quickly turn to rocks and rubble. Even though it is so close to the I-84, you feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere. The waterfall is stunning. Bring water shoes to climb the rocks or play in the stream.
