Another amazing hike along the Oregon Coast. The coastal views and the wooded path, you get the best of both worlds!!!
Location: Heceta Head Trailhead is located at the same place as Hobbit’s Trail. You can find out more about that little hike here. The Trailhead is located approximately 15 miles south of Yachats, OR or 12 miles north of Florence, OR along Hwy 101.
Difficulty: 2/5. This trail is narrow in some areas, lots of steep stairs and has a few logs to climb over. Sharp corners are fun to hide around, though!! A great way to keep your kids engaged!!
Kid Friendly: Yes. I was lucky to have my husband come along on this hike. He was great. He ran ahead with the older two kids (7 & 4) and they would hide behind trees, and jump out and try to scare myself and my 2 yr old, who LOVED it!!
Stroller Accessible: No. With Stairs and narrow trails, this would not be great for strollers.
ADA Accessible: No, not with the stairs and logs.
Description: This trail is 1.5 miles from the trailhead to the Heceta Head Lighthouse. It has amazing views of the coast line of Oregon, along with amazing trees to enjoy. It has quite a few stairs and some parts of the path are steep, but for the most part this is an easy hike for almost all ages!!
