I am diverting away from the normal Hiking Posts this time because I took my little kids and some friends to a cute little Pumpkin Patch in Woodburn, OR and I just had to share it.
We traveled a little north east of Salem, OR to a town called Woodburn. This area is made famous by it’s Factory Outlet Malls and to a lesser degree the Woodburn Tulip Festival that happens each spring. What I didn’t know was that the place that hosts the Tulip Festival, also happens to host a cute Pumpkin Festival each Fall.
This year we decided to go and check it out. Because I am such a stickler for a coupon/sale, I looked around and found that on Half Price Oregon, they had a sale on their tickets to the festival.
Regularly an adult ticket for a wristband is $7, however, on this website I found them for $2 each. These tickets are only good for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday entry.
A wristband includes all activities including archery, paint ball guns, pumpkin cannon, corn maze, many small activities in the field, a hay ride and also a cow train ride. We made good use of all of these fun activities and the kids all had a blast. The only thing it doesn’t include is the price of the pumpkins which are very reasonable. $1.50 for a small pumpkin, $2.50 for medium and $5 for a large pumpkin.
HOW IT WORKS: Enter into the parking area and park. In the gift shop, you purchase your wristbands. Then you head on out in to the play area to enjoy the fun.
I know we only have less than a week left before Halloween, however, if you have the time, check out this cute Pumpkin Patch!!
